Throw Back Thursday...Joni Heart Style!

Wow!  Look at the time!  Summer is over.  Fall is here.  In a few months, it will be 2014.  In the meantime, let's party, hang out, and enjoy the times we spent together for 2013.A Touch of Love hair Salon really knows how to let their clients know how much they love them!  Once again, Joni Heart Photography was a part of the fun, food, laughter, and elegant masks as Dani, Kim, Angi, and Marilyn showed some love!  We had our photo booth up and running.  As a gift from Touch of Love stylists, each guest received a free 4x6 photo to take home with them.  Every moment is a candid shot because I like to see smiles.  Lots of them.  Baby smiles are my favorite!Want Joni Heart's Photobooth at your next party?  Click here to catch a great deal! Have more questions regarding your next session?  Contact me here!

Throw Back Thursday...Joni Heart Style!

Planning photography for a wedding takes lots of work.  We don’t just show up and start shooting.  My work starts on the first consultation.  It takes a lot to pull off delivery of great images.  Here’s a break down of how it all happens.  First, book your date.  Preferably eleven months out (not necessary in some cases).  Posting a deposit reserves the date.  Once received, I plan out gear needed and call my best second shooters.  I have two of them.  Markysha, Vee and I shot our first wedding together and have continued our journey as wedding photographers.   Second, I scout the location and meet with the wedding planner.  At the location, I check out where the bride will get dressed, the ceremony spot, and where we can map out our execution for the bridal portraits.  While meeting with the wedding planner, I’m informed of the day’s details and what’s going to happen.  In all the meetings with wedding planners, I discuss the importance of scheduling at least 30 minutes for the couple portraits.  I stand firm on those 30 minutes.     Third, I meet with my team.  On Natasha and Xavier’s wedding day, we had a total of four on deck.  Myself as the main lead.  Corey the production manager.  Vee (@nuskydesign) the second ...

Throw Back Thursday...Joni Heart Style!

Here at Joni Heart Photography, I care about people and their moments.  Capturing life as it happens.  Whether it’s a wedding, event, or portrait, everyone get’s a photo (in my best Oprah voice).  We shoot everyone, including our furry best friends!  Meet Stewie!  He’s an energetic miniature Doberman pincher breed.  Curious, spunky, playful, and sweet.  He enjoys long walks chasing squirrels, and the taste of gym shoes and high heels.    He’s also a Falcon fan and you can catch him during football season always repping his team.      We had a special portrait session with Stewie a few weeks back.  He did very good and was extremely attentive.  He gave me his best side and worked the lens like a pro.  Stewie’s sure to start booking soon for some model gigs.  Miller’s Lab is the preferred lab for Joni Heart Photography.  Great quality, large assortment of products, and best of all, quick turn around!  Stewie’s great photos gave me the confidence to submit two images to Miller’s “2013 Pet Photo Contest.”      This image is my favorite of the bunch.  He was bright eyed and perky.  It almost looks like he’s smiling!  The title for this image is “Howdy Doody Eggs and Bacon,” a cute ...
